Improving access to water: The European Union stands with Lebanon

To support and strengthen communities affected by the Syrian crisis, the European Union is funding water, sanitation, and hygiene projects all across Lebanon, including in North Lebanon where 5 projects have been implemented. Through these projects, water supply facilities were upgraded and the access to water was improved, for the benefit of all people living in the affected communities.

“The town of Al Muhammara is considered the gateway to the region Akkar. It is on the road that links Syria to Lebanon.”
(Abed El Minaem Othman, Al Muhammara Mayor)
