1st EMEG Meeting: Valorisation of Research Results

The Euro-Mediterranean Expert Group meeting will be held in Lisbon on June 20th and 21st 2013.
Parts of the meeting will be publicly accessible through a livestreaming video: you can access the livestraming video from our website.

The streaming of the event intends to encourage the participation of a broader public of stakeholders and their interaction through our social media channels: Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter. During the two days meeting we will run a live-tweeting reporting the event and the discussion held during the meeting.

Thursday, 20 June

9h00 Welcome (FCT, European Commission)

9h15 - 10h00 Plenary session: EMEG objectives and introduction to work (MEDSPRING Coordinator)

10h00 - 10h30 Coffee break

10h30 - 12h30 Parallel working groups (water, food, energy)

  • Building common vision and identification/prioritization of thematic « niches » (or topics) for which conditions for valorization of research results are favorable and needed.

13h00-15h00 Lunch

15h00 – 16h00 Parallel working groups (water, food, energy)

  • Identifying research results, involved stakeholders and relevant target groups for each prioritized topic.

16h00 - 16h15 Coffee break

16h15 – 17h30 Parallel working groups (water, food, energy)

  • Analyzing, systematizing, integrating and validating a comprehensive frame of variables (barriers/positive factors) in relation to different organizational levels.

 

17h30-18h00 Plenary session: closure of 1st day. The Group leaders present the key results of works.

20h00 Social dinner

Friday, 21 June

9h30 – 10h30 Plenary session – “Open market”

Each group shows to the other groups the outcomes of the 1st day.

10h30 –11h00 Coffee break

11h00 – 12h30 Parallel working groups (water, food, energy)

  • Identifying ways (actions) at different level (individuals, research organization, national/regional organizations) to enhance dissemination and valorization.

12h30 – 13h00 Plenary session: group leader presents outcomes (30’)

13h00 – 15h00 Lunch

15h00 – 16h00 Parallel working groups: (water, food, energy)

  • Preparing Position Note based on workgroups outcomes as well as from Open Consultation.

16h00 - 16h15 Coffee break

16h15 – 17h30 Plenary session: presentation of recommendations, discussion and conclusions
