ICTs for family farming in the NENA region | survey

Improving ICT solutions and rural communication services for small-scale family farmers.

The Karianet network, in collaboration with the FAO Regional Initiative on small-scale agriculture for inclusive development in the NENA region and the FAO Communication for Development team, is inviting specialists and practitioners to contribute to mapping applications of ICTs and RCS for family farming and rural development in the NENA region.

The survey aims at determining the way Rural Communication Services (RCS) and Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) can address challenges faced by small-scale farmers, exploring the role that specific stakeholders can play across different initiatives in this field with particular reference to women and rural youth. The organizers are particularly interested in learning about projects and programs that have demonstrated results and achieved scale.
