Mediterranean agriculture and climate change
There is a strong Mediterranean cooperation revolving around climate but also the common will of France, Morocco and several States of the region, to place agriculture at the centre of debates.
[...] Agriculture is present in the climate agenda and this shows how intrinsically linked challenges are. Produce more to meet the population growth and the primary requirement of feeding human beings but also produce better while preserving the environment and natural resources in order to reduce the sector’s environmental footprint.
The CIHEAM devotes this new issue of its Watch Letter to the Mediterranean countries that are already facing these challenges.
