Using satellite imagery, peer reviewed reports and public information, environmental changes from across the entire region have been identified.
From these images we see stark evidence of the impact humans are having on the planet from the deserts to the mountains to the seas.
This video highlights the Arab Region Atlas of Our Changing Environment: a story of prominent environmental change across 22 Arab countries over the last 50 years.
While it documents the commonalities shared by these nations, it also highlights the unique challenges each country faces in the 21st century.
