WATER Development Resources Opportunity Policies for the water management in semi-arid areas

The pressure on water resources highlights the hydrological, social, economic and ecological inter-dependencies of rivers, lakes, aquifers and oceans. This demands integrated and holistic approaches to develop and manage water and land resources. There is a dynamic relationship between water stakeholders and central governments, who have to work together to ensure the viability of their decisions in meeting sustainable development goals.
Water-DROP's overall objective is to lead to the enhancement of the water resources management in the territories at Mediterranean Sea Basin level contributing to promote a sustainable improvement of governance processes at local level.
