The Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Montpellier (IAMM), one among the four institutes of the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM), is an intergovernmental organisation with a mandate for the development of activities in higher education, vocational training, research and Mediterranean cooperation. CIHEAM-IAMM announces a vacancy for the position of Scientific Administrator specialised in Economics / Agribusiness Management.

The profile of the candidate must focus on the value chain analysis, analysis of the functioning of markets and supply chains, modes of organization, governance and stakeholder strategies. The job profile falls within the scope of food security issues and the sustainability of food systems.

The CIHEAM Bari, Italian body of CIHEAM (International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies) intergovernmental organization having its HQs in Paris, publishes a vacancy in the framework of the project above for One Junior Expert to be assigned in the program base of Gaziantep – Turkey. The program is co-funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and by the British Department for International Development (DFID), it is implemented by CIHEAM Bari.

Call for consultants within RE-ACTIVATE Project: Implement the certification of sustainable energy trainings in Morocco and Tunisia based on international standards and design of a regional quality scheme “Credentialing Program”

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) commissioned GIZ to implement the project “Promoting Development and Employment through Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RE/EE) in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) (RE-ACTIVATE)”.

[...] The Credentialing initiative goal is to ensure the efficiency and reliability of capacity development programs (CD) in the MENA Countries and to raise performance, coherence and quality of skills training provision. In these regards, the present assignment aims to design a regional credentialing program based on quality and competency norms, standards and certification programs for clean energy educators, trainees, training centers and programs, and assist MENA countries to build a quality-trained sustainable energy workforce adapted to their local context. The mission also includes the support and assistance of Morocco and Tunisia to develop and introduce certification processes for training offers.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications for the 2017 Borlaug Global Research Alliance Fellowships. Fellows will work with a mentor at USDA’s Agricultural Research Service or a U.S. university for up to 12 weeks on climate change mitigation research. Food quality and healthy diet: REP-EAT call

The main objective of Rep-Eat programme is to build up a new and innovative research and training doctoral programme in the interdisciplinary domain of food and healthy diet to deepen the impact of food quality.

Rep-Eat launched a call for 12 PhD: the Doctoral course lasts 3 years, starting from the signature of the contract and it includes three core elements: Training; Research and Mobility. The monthly remuneration is € 2600 per Early Stage Researcher, including living allowance, mobility allowance, social security contributions and taxes.

Vacancy at IAMZ-CIHEAM for an Innovation and Project Development (IPD) Manager

The person recruited will form part of the IAMZ management team and will be entrusted to plan and lead the IAMZ projects and cooperation area, undertake the management of projects already underway at IAMZ (H2020) and create new projects, build consortiums, and draw up and execute international cooperation proposals.

The person recruited will also contribute ideas and expertise to the strategic planning processes and to the programming of IAMZ/CIHEAM training activities in coordination with the rest of the team.
