Women in Lebanon expanding horizons with solar power

In the small southern Lebanese village of Deir Kanoun Ras el Ain, on International Womens Day 2017, a quiet revolution is under way: 23 working women in an agricultural cooperative were suffering from severe electricity shortage, but a new solar installation project financed through a crowd funding campaign changed all that.
