Agriculture: in 6 years, private investment in agriculture rose by 6%

Over the past five years, private investment in agriculture registered an increase by 6% and reached by 2015 800 million dinars (MTD), said Boubaker Karray, head of the Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries Department.

Speaking Wednesday on behalf of the Minister of Agriculture, Samir Taieb, during a training seminar on "innovation in the agricultural and food sector in Italy: research and quality to meet the challenges of the market", the head recalled that the accumulated foreign investment in agriculture is about 300 MTD, of which 21% are from Italy, making the country the second foreign investor in agriculture in Tunisia.
