The role of STI in promoting Food security

The Side-event to EU-Africa HLPD on role of STI in promoting Food Security will focus on bi-regional STI cooperation in promoting food security and takes place alongside the EU-Africa High Level Policy Dialogue on Science, Technology and Innovation in Brussels on 28 November 2013.

This half-day side event, taking place on the morning of 28 November, will focus on the role of STI in promoting food security, nutrition and sustainable agriculture. The programme will provide an overview of existing and promising joint EU-Africa science, technology and innovation initiatives in the field of food security, nutrition and sustainable agriculture.

Taking place at the Sofitel, Place Jourdan 1, 1040 Brussels (close to the HLPD venue) it is open to all interested parties and CN+ will be in attendance. The programme will end with a networking lunch. 

 

 

 

EU-Africa High Level Policy Dialogue (HLPD) on science, technology and innovation (STI): Brussels, 28-29 November 2013 - Closed Event
Senior officials from the European and the African Union Commission and from Research and Innovation Ministries in Europe and Africa will discuss on future cooperation on STI between the two continents, also in view of the EU-Africa Summit 2014. At this year's meeting a special focus will be put on the role of STI in promoting food and nutrition security and sustainable agriculture. The EU-Africa HLPD will be a closed meeting.
