Waleed Mansour is the head of the environmental committee at the Free Egyptians Party, through this position he contributed to the current version of the Egyptian Constitution 2013 in its environmental articles. Waleed has studied in various environmental policies schools in Europe of which such as the Center of clean technology and Environmental Policy at the University of Twente in the Netherlands for his Master’s degree. He also concluded various courses and diploma on the topic of environment and development. Waleed worked for various international organizations such as the Heinrich Boll Foundation, UNIDO, GIZ and is currently a programme officer at the Swedish Institute in Alexandria. His main ambition is to ensure litigation is possible for fundamental environmental rights in Egypt; while his focus is on environmental governance models in transition.
