Empowering women in the Atlas

"Empowering Women, Empowering Poverty Fighters."

Empowering Women in the Atlas (EWA) is an initiative that aims to promote the leadership of rural women as a catalyst for sustainable community development in the Middle Atlas region of Morocco and beyond.

Empowering Women in the Atlas operates through the Association des femmes pour le développement rural, a legal entity in Morocco.

Considering that women are powerful actors of change, our mission is to break the isolation of women, unleash their full potential, and catalyze their role in the fight against poverty in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco and beyond.

Empowering Women in the Atlas sees itself as a connector. It connects rural women leaders to opportunities, expertise, and funding, through empowerment and educational programs, entrepreneurship, and incubation of small income generating projects.
