Global Entrepreneurship Week Algeria 2016: Agriculture and new technologies

Algeria together with the 165 countries of the world, will celebrate until November 20, 2016, the world week of entrepreneurship.

For this edition, the Global Entrepreneurship Week Algeria 2016 (GEW) will highlight the Algerian entrepreneurs and aims at inspiring a new generation of companies with the ambition to concretize their ideas and apply them on the ground.

Today, Algeria is considered among the leaders of this global movement, thanks to the efforts of the 535 partner organizations that have organized thousands of activities throughout the year. For the second consecutive year, our country has been awarded the Compass Award for Champion Catalyzers events (the country that has organized most events at the national level).  The meeting will be held under the theme "Agriculture and new technologies, Productivity, Competitiveness and Entrepreneurship". The choice of the theme is not fortuitous since the subject is in line with the government guidelines on the importance of productivity development, the competitiveness of the agricultural sector and the need to boost exports of its products. The objective of the celebration of the GEW 2016 is to inspire students and project promoters to invest in the agricultural world, to bring out the startups that will make life easier for farmers, and projects that put digital technology to the service of agriculture.
