Data are based on the paper "Moving water use efficiency up the food chain: addressing water footprints of food consumption and foot wastage in the Mediterranean" by Roberto Capone, Hamid el-Bilali, Philipp Debs, Gianluigi Cardone, Nicola Lamaddalena presented for the 1st CIGR Inter-Regional Conference on Land and Water Challenges organized by the International Commission of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (CIGR) and CIHEAM – Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari, Italy, on 10-14 September 2013.
