Water resources: a plan for irrigation

 

"It is urgent to have a system of irrigation stations that can provide water for agriculture," this is what the Minister of Water Resources and Environment, Abdelkader Ouali said.

The minister who was speaking yesterday at the dissemination day of the technical guide for the installation of projects and rehabilitation of sewerage networks, organized by the association of manufacturers of plastic pipes, added "This scheme will support the implementation of an action plan for irrigation of a hundred agricultural hectares, water dams, wells, waste water ... ". Abdelkader Ouali, said the irrigation capacity of the stations can reach 100 hectares, and that it is possible to reach a capacity of 800 million cubic meters per year. Moreover, he said "there will be a meeting with the agriculture sector to cooperate for the success of this plan".
